Noble Eightfold’s Founder and CEO celebrates International Women’s Day with DVF

Yvonne Perez, Noble Eightfold’s founder and CEO, was invited by the world-famous luxury fashion brand DVF for its International Women’s Day VIP celebration in partnership with JP Morgan at the historic House of DVF last March 8th.

At the event, Perez had the chance to meet with DVF’s head Diane von Furstenberg herself, who talked about female entrepreneurship, and her own inspiring journey towards global acclaim.

A true icon in the fashion industry, Diane von Furstenberg founded her namesake fashion line in 1972. The brand has since become known for its unique take on color, prints, and silhouette, especially as embodied by its classic wrap dress, as well as its collection of ready-to-wear clothing and accessories.

Well-loved across the world, DVF now distributes its top-quality products to more than 70 countries located in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific. The phenomenal growth speaks volumes of Diane’s stellar work as DVF’s Founder and Chairman – at a time when many women were still trying to break the glass ceiling.

But on top of chasing business success, Diane encouraged the attendees at the DVF International Women’s Day celebration to stay focused, centered, and true to themselves, saying, “The most important relationship is the relationship with ourselves, every other relationship is a plus not a must.” Relatedly, Diane shares her notion of female strength as being truly in charge of one’s career, business endeavors, and most importantly, oneself.

Besides her role at DVF, Diane pursues numerous charity initiatives, through her family foundation, which provides support to non-profits in such sectors as human rights, arts, education, health and the environment.

Seeing and hearing Diane in person was truly moving, according to Perez, who is herself trying to make waves in her industry as a female business leader.

Aside from establishing only the highest standards for the business practices of Noble Eightfold, Perez steers the company towards giving back to the community, through the Inner-City Scholarship Fund, and its partnership with Island Corps, an eco-travel, professional leadership, and environmental education program. Moreover, Perez helps other women succeed in business, through her active membership in the National Association of Professional Women, which holds job fairs, training, and networking events for women.

“What Diane von Furstenberg has accomplished for her company and for herself is something I would like for Noble Eightfold and myself as well. That vision of business excellence is what inspires me at work each day,” shared Perez.
